How to Uninstall K9 without a code - The K9 is a program that blocks access to questionable content sites containing pornography, viruses or racist content. Once installed K9 Web Protection, you may have some difficulty in removing it if you remember the administrator password or do not have access to the e-mail address you used during installation. If you try to uninstall the program and enter an incorrect password, the K9 will block your internet access. If you have administrative access to the system, can work upon the requirements and uninstall the program.
Instructions
1. Navigate to the K9 Web Protection Web site (see Resources) and click the "Free Download" (free download) button. Fill out the online form with your name, surname and e-mail. Click the "Request License" (requires license) button to start sending - via e-mail address you provided - a new activation code and a link to download the K9 Web Protection.
2. Access your email and copy the new activation code provided. Follow the link to the download area of the program. Do not install the new program yet.
3. Open the task manager by pressing the Control, Alt and Delete keys at the same time and selecting Start Task Manager. Locate "k9filter" in the process bar. Select and click the End Process button.
4. If you accepted the default installation settings, locate the original K9 program in "C: \ Program Files \ Blue Coat K9 Protection". Navigate to the installation folder and delete all the contents of the "Blue Coat K9 Protection" folder.
5. Load the installer K9 program by double-click the file that you downloaded in step 2 Use the activation code that you copied in step 2 and create a new password. Install K9 program in "Blue Coat K9 Protection" folder from which you deleted the files.
6. Open the Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs. Click "Blue Coat K9 Protection" and then click the Change / Remove button. Select Yes to confirm that you want to remove the program. Enter the new password that you created during the installation in step 5 and click "Uninstall" (uninstall).
